Program Overview
The Southeast Asia Lecture Hall is a series of 10 virtual lectures from world-class scholars that will be delivered to more than 1000 students from across all 11 Southeast Asian countries. The series will take place starting from August 2021 to March 2022, with each lecture taking place every 3 weeks. Initiated by Foreign Policy Community of Indonesia, the Southeast Asia Lecture Hall is the first program of its kind in the region.
The Southeast Asia Lecture Hall was conceived against the backdrop of the gaps in access to high quality lectures in regions such as Southeast Asia. We recognize the fact that the more remote the location of a campus is, the less likely it is for its students and lecturers to be able to listen to world-class lectures by top international scholars and policymakers. We also recognize the imperative to develop closer relations among academic communities in Southeast Asia through joining in shared academic experiences. This Southeast Asia Lecture Hall is a good way to promote closer links and intellectual exchange between Southeast Asian students and academics, who will become one of the most strategic segments of society to carry Southeast Asia in the future.
Participation in this program is free of charge, and e-certificates will be provided for each lecture.
